Ancient house in the ancient Jewish quarter of Zakho (Mahlo Jihieo). The Jews of Zakho left for Israel in the early 1950's. They were completely protected from any harm by the chief of Zakho, Hazim Beg. The day before they left, they all went to his house to thank him for protecting them and they left in peace.
