A buffet cabinet with four samovars (pronounced "samawer" in Kurdish and Arabic in Iraq). They contain boiling water to dilute the very dark tea in the teapots. The tea is poured halfway in the "istikan" A transparent small glass vessel (not shown), then the water is added from the samawer to the desired lightness or darkness of the drinker. Then a hefty amount of sugar is added. Then the teapot is stationed back on top of the samawer to keep the tea warm. The object stuck in the samawer to the right is a hand held fan used to fan the coal inside the samawer that surrounds the hot water tank. It is displayed here for decoration. In reality it is never put inside a samawer full of burning coal.
