I went to Iraqi Kurdistan in January 2007 and I will be sharing my experiences and photos with others in this blog space.
Electrical Interruption in Iraqi Kurdistan:
People have addapted to continous disruption of electricity that started in 1991. Every day the electrical service is interrupted and peolpe swithch from Government generated service to neighbourhood generators run by the merchants in the market or the nearby hotels. There are a few minutes or one hour or so, of darkness where people use old oil lamps or new electrically charged lamps. This is an old lamp still working and transforming the place into a magical atmosphere.
